Diseases

Thyroid & Diabetes

The diseases I am researching on are thyroid and diabetes.

First, I will tell you a bit about thyroid.

Thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland in your throat. It can occur in diabetic people as well as people with no diseases too.

Here are 4 types of thyroid I know about:

  • Hypothyroid
  • Subclinical hypothyroid
  • Hyperthyroid
  • Postpartum thyroiditis

Some common symptoms of thyroid are:
  • Fatigue
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Muscle aches, tenderness and stiffness
  • Thinning hair
  • Slowed heart rate
  • Depression
  • Impaired memory
Now I will tell you a little about diabetes.

There are two types of diabetes. One type is called Type 1, and the other is Type 2. Type 1 usually occurs in children and young adults. Type 2 usually starts occurring in people over the age of 50.

Diabetes can be caused because of many reasons.

These are the main ones:

  • High blood sugar
  • Low blood sugar
  • Eating improperly
  • Less of insulin in your body
Diabetic people can have thyroid along with diabetes also.

Basically, thyroid and diabetes are both problems that have solutions to them, and if you really try to cure yourself if you have them, it just might work!
